Life coaching is a collaborative partnership between a coach and a client to enhance personal and professional growth. It focuses on setting and achieving goals, overcoming obstacles, and creating positive changes in various aspects of life.
Mindset coaching specifically targets the patterns of thinking and beliefs that shape one's attitudes and behaviors. While life coaching covers a broader spectrum of goals, mindset coaching dives deep into transforming thought processes for improved outcomes.
The nature of the relationship, time orientation, and the scope of issues differ between the two. Therapy addresses mental health concerns, emotional well-being, and is focused on healing one's past, whereas coaching is future-oriented, focusing on setting and achieving goals, cultivating a positive mindset, personal development, and skill enhancement. It's essential to choose the right approach based on your needs. Coaches and therapists/counselors often work collaboratively to support individuals in different aspects of their lives.
Coaching sessions typically involve open and supportive conversations. Coaches ask powerful questions, offer insights, and guide clients in setting and working towards their goals. The core of mindset coaching is helping clients become aware of how their thoughts and emotions impact their behaviors and results and to create a mindset shift towards a more positive and productive reframe. Sessions may also include discussions on mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork for holistic development.
The duration of coaching sessions can vary, but a common timeframe is between 30 and 60 minutes. The frequency of sessions depends on individual needs and goals, with some clients opting for weekly or bi-weekly sessions.
The length of a life coaching program depends on the individual and their goals. Some programs may last a few months, while others may last a year or more.
Both individual and group coaching sessions are available. Individual coaching provides personalized attention, while group coaching offers a supportive community environment where participants can share insights and learn from each other.

Mindfulness is incorporated into our coaching to cultivate present-moment awareness. It helps clients become more conscious of their thoughts and actions, fostering clarity, focus, and a deeper understanding of themselves.
Meditation is a tool used in coaching to promote relaxation, stress reduction, and mental clarity. It can enhance self-awareness, emotional and nervous system regulation, and overall well-being, complementing the coaching process.
We are currently working on adding meditation and mindfulness services, both private and group, to our offerings! Continue to check back or sign up for emails to be the first to know when we launch them!
Yes, breathwork is frequently integrated into our coaching sessions. It serves as a powerful technique to regulate and prep the nervous system for coaching, manage stress, improve focus, and connect with the present moment. Coaches may guide clients through specific breathing exercises tailored to individual needs.
I combine these practices because many facets of mindfulness, meditation, and coaching cross over. Mindfulness and meditation are about being aware of the present, and coaching is about bringing awareness to the present. And to your feelings and thoughts in the present. When you are in the present, when you are aware of your feelings and your thoughts, then you can really truly sit with them and make movement forward.
Visualization techniques can also help get to the root of your feelings and thoughts and help you move past or break free from unsettling thoughts which may be holding you back from your true potential.
Breathwork techniques can help slow your central nervous system (CNS) and your sympathetic nervous system which is responsible for protecting you from fear and activating your fight, flight, fawn, or freeze response. Breathwork taps into your CNS and tells your body and mind that "it's okay, I'm okay" and sends signals to your body to relax, like slowing your heart rate. After which you can move forward, unlock your mind, and tap into your thoughts and feelings to understand your situation and your goals, and to make plans to progress.
The timeline for results varies based on individual circumstances and goals. Some clients experience positive changes after a few sessions, while others may require more time. Consistency and commitment to working the plan both during and outside of sessions significantly contribute to the effectiveness of coaching.
